There is not a great deal of printed information available for the Kings Dragoon Guards tour duty in Crimea. However, what information we have is drawn up from the Digest of Services. Written letters, and Regimental Histories dated 1854 to 1857. I have, however, managed to locate an archive that gives information on which Troops some of the Officers and Other Ranks served in.
Unfortunately, in later years this archive was left uncompleted. Those records that I have found are in Troop order and with the officers records where possible. Those soldiers who transferred in from other regiments for the campaign and those that I can find no Troop Records for I have put in a made-up Troop at the end, which is named ‘N’ Troop. The biggest threat to the regiment on this tour of duty was the outbreak of Cholera.
